Google launches Click Fraud Website

Google has unveiled a Web site “resource center” focused on the thorny issue of click fraud, which many consider a potential threat to the company’s main source of revenue: Pay-per-click advertising.

Google has developed the Ad Traffic Quality Resource Center to give its advertisers a single place to find Google’s information about click fraud.

As of now, in the Pay per Click model of Google Adwords, the advertiser needs to pay everytime a click is made to his/her ad. Google and many other players had been getting complaints/concerns  from advertisers about Fraud clicks. It was found that competing companies were trying to click on the ad’s of their rival companies to drive their ad budget up. Also, using the Adsense initiative many people try to click ads on there own websites, there by making the advertiser’s money go for a toss.

Google’s initiative in Fraud click business might come as a blow to other companies already trying to serve this business.
