In one of my previous post 4 steps to a Healthy PC, I had written about the importance of keeping the softwares installed in your computer .
Update Checker is the way to go when it comes to figuring out the software eligible for upgrade. Update Checker scans your PC/Laptop and generates a report after validating and comparing the entries with its database.

To start using Update Checker, all you need to do is, download Update Checker client ( 100kb file) and thats it. Update Checker site maintains a version number database of programs along with download information.
Once a scan is started, Update Checker scans your PC/Laptop and generates a list after validating the entries against its database. The list is clean and has mention of softwares that can be upgraded.
The Update Checker works on any Windows PC running Vista, XP, 2003, 2000 or 98.
It requires that the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 is installed, which you may download directly from here.
Another good thing about Update Checker is its Privacy Policy. The website states ” The Update Checker will not send any personal information back to filehippo.com. The only information collected is a list of programs and their versions, along with the operating system details to help with processing. Additionally none of this is linked to your IP address and the logs are deleted after processing.”
Go ahead and grab Update Checker here
Cheers,
Vaibhav
