Control Automatic Updates in Windows

If you are one of those who uses Microsoft Windows as your operating system and wishes to control the way Windows downloads and installs the Security Updates in your computer. Here is the post to go through and implement.

You can tell Microsoft Windows to download various security updates automatically in the background, but not to install them until you are ready. To do so follow the steps mentioned below.

1.) In Windows XP, open the Control Panel.

2.) Select Security Center and double click to open it.

3.) Click Automatic Updates under Manage Security Settings.

4.) Select the radio button which says ‘ Download updates for me, but let me choose when to install them‘.

5.) Click Apply.

6.) Click Ok.
