I must admit, i am a big fan of Gmail and i have done multiple posts on Gmail in the past. Gmail Labs is a collective term to all the new experimental features, Gmail team is working on. This gives Gmail an opportunity to quickly release new beta features ( as per the labs label) and also seek user feedback. With the addition of Gmail labs into Gmail, you can enable some exciting features for your Gmail account to make it even more exciting.

To enable any of the Gmail Labs features, follow the steps below

1.) Login to your Gmail account

2.) Click on the link called “Settings”.

3.) Click on Labs. This will load the Gmail Labs Page.

4.) Browse through the various features listed. If you wish to enable any of them, select Enable.

Below are the list of three Gmail Lab features which i would suggest to anyone who is still new to Gmail labs.

1.) Mail Goggles

Google strives to make the world’s information useful. Mail you send late night on the weekends may be useful but you may regret it the next morning. Solve some simple math problems and you’re good to go. Otherwise, get a good night’s sleep and try again in the morning. After enabling this feature, you can adjust the schedule in the “General” settings page.

2.) Forgotten Attachment Detector

Forgot to attach the attachments?

Prevents you from accidentally sending messages without the relevant attachments. Prompts you if you mention attaching a file, but forgot to do so.

3.) Vacation Time!

Vacation Dates on Gmail Labs

Lets you specify starting and ending dates for the vacation autoresponder.
