[How-To] Send empty body messages in Gmail

In Gmail, whenever you try to send an empty body message, i.e. mail messages with no body and only subject, it asks you with a pop up ” Send this message without text in the body?” In short, its Gmails way of ensuring that you dont end up in an embarrasing situation because you never wrote the body for your email and the mail application never warned you too. Its a clever way to ensure that if you press the send button without typing any message in the text area where you must enter the body, you get warned.
Here if you press OK, the mail goes, else it just sits back.

Official Gmail blog describes how you can send a empty body message

Now, however, you can add “EOM” or “(EOM)” at the end of the subject line (short for End Of Message), and Gmail will silently send the message without the unnecessary prompt.

The other way which works for me is the addition of Signature. If you have a default signature which goes with every mail, practically you are not sending an empty body and thus Gmail will never complain. Do you have HTML based signatures?
