LogMeIn the application, I talked about earlier, has released yet another interesting product which can help you control your PC or Mac from your Apple iPhone or iPod Touch. The application named as LogMeIn Ignition for iPhone and iPod touch provides instant one-click access to your LogMeIn computers, directly from your Apple device.

With LogMeIn Ignition for iPhone and iPod you can  make your iPhone or iPod touch an extension of your work or home computer and run all commands and application from the iPhone or iPod Touch. 

How Do I Start Using LogMeIn Ignition for iPhone or iPod Touch?

1.) Create a LogMeIn account. 

2.) Add Computers to your LogMeIn account. Install LogMeIn software (LogMeIn Pro, Free, or IT Reach) on your work computer which should act as a host computer.

3.) Install LogMeIn Ignition on your iPhone or iPod Touch and login to your LogMeIn account using the application.

4.) Get the list of computers from your iPhone or iPod Touch using the LogMeIn Ignition service. Computers will be shown online or offline based on the criteria mentioned below.

Any host computer that meets the following conditions will be termed Online and accessible:

• The host must be turned on.

• The host must not be in Sleep mode or Hibernation mode.

• The host must be connected to the Internet.

• The LogMeIn service must be running.

5.) Authenticate to the Host Computer and you shall be connected. You can either use your Windows or Mac username and password combination or use the Computer Access Code. 

6.) Once Authenticated and logged in, you can use the On Screen Keyboard interface provided by LogMeIn Ignition for running various commands and applications on the Host Computer.
