1.) Download Belarc Advisor . Once downloaded, install the application. Remember, you need to have administrator privilege in order to install the software.

2.) Belarc Advisor once started will audit your computer for all the softwares and hardware installed on your computer. 

3.) Belarc Advisor will launch the default web browser when its finished and is ready to display the report. 

It must be noted that if you have a lot of programs and applications installed on your computer, Belarc Advisor reports can be very long. As a best practise, its always good to generate and save a report in a remote location for references if a need ever arises.  To summarize, Belarc Advisor, tells you maybe more than you wanted to know about hardware, software, and OS components of your computer.
