Though, there exists specific utilities like Send To Toys which can help you add new locations to the Send-To conext menu in Windows but if you ever wish to add new Send-To locations without the need of any software, this is the article to read.
Windows determines the Send-To locations based on the directory listing of the sendto folder (default location C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\SendTo ). In order to add new locations to the Send-To context menu, all you need to do is update the sendto directory. Similarly for removing items from the Send To Context menu, all you need to do is, remove the listings from the directory.
Add new Send-To Locations In Windows without any Software
1.) Click Start –> Run. At Run, type sendto . This will open the sendto directory with the available links. Upon observing, you will notice that this is the list which is available as the context menu.
2.) Right click and select New. Select Shortcut. This will be used to create a new shortcut. Enter the location for the Target.
3.) Next time you will be able to see a new entry in the Send To context menu.
Remove Send To Locations In Windows without any Software
1.) Navigate to the Send To folder by clicking at Start –> Run. At Run, type sendto . This will open the sendto directory with the available links. Upon observing, you will notice that this is the list which is available as the context menu.
2.) From the folder, remove the location which you wish to remove from the Send To context menu.
