[Free Stuff] Track and visualize your expenses with ‘Expense Organizer’
If you are someone who earns, spends and saves money, some kind of utility to help you visualize and track your expenses is really a must have. Expense Organizer is a meticulously planned and authored Excel spreadsheet which is a available for free from here.
Expense Orgaziner can be downloaded and used by anyone who has Microsoft Excel installed.
Expense Organizer Features
1.) Available for Free. Download the latest copy from here.
2.) There are 15 sheets in the Excel Workbook out of which 12 Sheets are present for the 12 months and are labelled as ‘Jan’, ‘Feb’, ‘Mar’ etc for each month.
3.) The first sheet is for Settings where an end user can define the names of various expense and income heads. The last 2 sheets are the Graphs and Reports Sheets. You need not enter anything there. It will automatically generate all the reports and graphs. You can select your currency as well using the Settings sheet. This is a new feature which was not available in earlier versions of Expense Organizer.
4.) Entering data into the workbook is very easy. You are required to enter the data only in the cells which are coloured in yellow. All other cells are locked. If you wish to unlock the cells, you must traverse to Tools menu –> Protection –> Unprotect Sheet. However, do this only if you are comfortable with excel formulas and macros and also understand what happens behind the scene.
5.) The workbook’s design makes it very easy to visualize your spending habits.
The only flaw i could notice is that all the month sheets have 31 days as the default. However, this is certainly a small flaw which can be ignored for a free and efficient to use excel based Expense Organizer.
