[Firefox] Display the Form Action Of Any Form With FormFox
We do fill up a lot of forms while surfing the internet; forms which ask us information for signing up for a service, forms for logging into a service, forms which help us restore and recover a forgotten password and many more. The point that i am alluding to here is the fact that each of these forms have a form action which is used when you press the button intended for submitting the information. With the increase of Phishing attacks, its very important that “you” as a user of the service know where you information is getting posted. If a website has been compromised or if the website is not what it claims to be ( often its very tough to make this out as most of the phishing websites look and feel exactly as the original website). In this article, i will introduce you to an exciting Firefox add on which lets you know the form action for a button when you hover your mouse on the button.
FormFox is a Firefox add-on which gives you the URL address from the form action field. In short, FormFox gives you the complete URL address of the site where your information will be posted. Its a handy extension as it allows you to mouse over the Submit button to figure out exactly where your information is getting posted.
