[Google Adsense] Since Last Payment showing incorrect numbers ( Thanks to a small bug)

Many Google Adsense publishers ( including me) are seeing a drop in the numbers for the “Since Last Payment” menu item. Many publishers have been complaining about it here, here and here.

Though, no official word from Google is out yet, my assumption and belief is that this drop in earnings is a result of the incorrect date range query which is getting executed internally while building up this report.

‘Since last payment’ reporting option shows your accumulated stats and earnings since your last pay period. This is a view which shows you your consoldiated earnings since your last payment was processed and paid. Google Adsense payments are processed till the last day of the previous month and therefore the new payout period starts from the 1st of the next month.

With the current bug, the date range query being executed is appearing to be taking the “from date” to be the date on which your payment was issued ( which usually happens around 20th – 25th of the next month), this is causing a drop of earnings for 20 days or so.

You can confirm your earnings by going through the data for the previous months. This data is intact and therefore there doesnt seem to be much to worry.

While am sure Google will fix this soon, me and a major part of the adsense publisher community ( who are facing this problem) would have been a happier lot if they had acknowledged it over twitter and told us that the fix is underway.

[UPDATE] This bug is now fixed by Google. Now on, going to your Since Last Payment option in Google Adsense should throw up the correct figures. I have tested this and it works good for me. Thanks Google.

Google still didn’t fixed this; it was fixed for you just because the days pasted. The last payment actually shows you not the full amount of money you have. It shows the money made since the last check WAS EMITTED. And as the days pass, when you get over the 15th of the month, it will fix by itself and display the real amount of money you have. :)
