[How-To] View and Delete Event Logs From Your BlackBerry
If you own a Blackberry, you can even view the event log generated by your Blackberry Device. If you have a lot of applications installed on your Blackberry, this log can eat up a couple of megs of your memory.
This article is divided into three seperate headings for viewing the event logs, deleting the event logs and disabling the event logs on your BlackBerry device.
Event logs are useful for diagnosing application and connectivity issues. Deleting or disabling them can therefore lead to issues when debugging certain situations.
Viewing the Event Log on your BlackBerry
1.) At the home screen, keep the ALT button pressed, now press the keys LGLG ( remember to keep the ALT button pressed).
Pressing ALT + LGLG key combination on BlackBerry brings up the event log for your viewing.
Deleting the Event Log on Your BlackBerry
1.) Once you have the event log on your blackberry screen, by following the steps mentioned above, click on the Menu button.
2.) The menu items will then be shown.
3.) Select “Clear Log”.
4.) A new dialog asking for your confirmation will now be shown. Select “Delete”.
Following the above steps helps you clear off the event log.
Disable Event Log Creation on your BlackBberry

1.) Once you are have cleared the event log, press menu and select options. Set Min Log Level to WARNING.
2.)Press menu again and and select options and take the check
out of every box by selecting “Toggle Filter”. Save, exit and you’re done.
If you have a lot of apps installed, disabling the event log saves a few megs of memory. However, you must note that event log is usually very helpful for debugging purposes and therefore you must disable it only when you are real short of memory.
