[How-To] Increase The Maximum Number of Simultaneous Downloads in Windows

If you are also someone like me who is always downloading a lot of softwares for evaluation and is always constantly bugged by the maximum number of simultaneous downloads in Windows, this article will walk you through a registry hack which allows you to increase maximum number of Simultaneous downloads.

1.) Start the registry editor by typing in “regedit” (without quotes) at the Run prompt in Windows.

2.) Navigate through the Registry Editor to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings.

3.) Create a new DWORD named MaxConnectionsPerServer and assign it a value of 0000000a.

4.) Create a new DWORD named MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server and assign it a value of 0000000a.

As the above mentioned hack involves modifying Windows Registry, its advisable to take a backup of the registry before doing any changes.
