Turn Your CellPhone Into a Wireless Router (iPhone,Windows Mobile and Palm OS)

So you have an unlimited data plan on your cellphone and now would like to use that plan to surf the internet over your laptop or computer. This also gets important in situations when you are on the road and your mobile browser fails to provide the browsing experience you need.

PdaNet is an application which allows you to turn an iPhone or a Windows Mobile or a Palm OS phone, BlackBerry or an Android phone into a Wireless Router.

PdaNet allows your laptop (or desktop) to go online wirelessly by connecting it to your Windows Mobile Phone through the Sync cable, Bluetooth or even Wifi. PdaNet goes through the unlimited data plan on your phone and does not require any extra service. Supports almost all Windows Mobile phones including but not limited to the Treo series (including the latest 800w), Motorola Q/Q9 series, Samsung i730/5800/Blackjack II or any HTC brand (6700/6800/Mogul/Touch/8525/Tilt). Simply download and install the software from your computer and it will be online within a few seconds.

PdaNet is also available for BlackBerry smartphones and Android.

In order to use PdaNet with your Apple iPhone, you would need a jailbroken iPhone. Below embedded video explains how to tether your Apple iPhone with your computer using PdaNet.

If you are planning to tether your cellphone with your laptop, i would recommend that you keep your phone charger with you and that you also get yourself an unlimited data plan.
