Microsoft has finally announced Zune HD. Zune HD will go on sale from September 15 and will be available in 16GB and 32 GB capacity. While the sale starts from September 15th, the pre-order has already begun. The price for the 16 GB and 32 GB models are fixed at $220 and $290 respectively. The pre-orders can be made at Amazon, BestBuy, Walmart and Microsoft store.

Some interesting features/ specs available with the Zune HD include

1.) TouchScreen interface.

2.) Access variety of HD Radios without any charge.

3.) Watch Supported 720p HD movies, TV shows and videos in high definition on your HDTV using Zune HD & AV Dock.( to be purchased seperately).

4.) Wifi Support.

5.) Web Browser.

6.) NVIDIA Tegra low-power HD processor.

The 16 GB Zune HD is reported to hold upto 48 hours of video optimized for the device. In terms of songs, the number stands at 4000 songs. For 32 GB, the device can hold upto 48 hours of video optimized for the device. The song count stands at 8000 songs.

From whatever i have read till now, Zune HD definitely looks like an amazing portable music and video player. Time to get serious about Microsoft Zune guys.
