Free VPN Service From ItsHidden
If you are looking out at a way to browse and download stuff from the internet Anonymously, you need to have a proxy which assigns you a random server thereby masking your IP address and other details. I discussed about UltraSurf earlier, which can be used to access blocked websites. In this article, i will discuss a free VPN service offered by ItsHidden. The service is targeted at those who want to protect their privacy online.
The free VPN solution offered by ItsHidden is currently in its BETA and is open to public for tests. ItsHidden was set up with torrent users in mind, allowing them to hide their identities from ‘third parties’ who choose to snoop on their activities.
A VPN service encrypts the connection between the user and the VPN servers and prevents anyone from reading this data as it is sent or received. With ItsHidden, the service uses 128 bit encryption and even no logs are kept of the user transfers. The company plans to keep this service free in future as well.
“It is a free service, we will of course have to limit in some way eventually to stop the whole lot collapsing, but we will always have a free account. The paid account would be geared at about $5 and will add port forwarding and other features,” David of ItsHidden said.
At present, during the BETA, the service is making use of shared IP-address, however, once the testing for ItsHidden is complete, they will be able to issue static IPs. As of now, all servers are located in Netherlands but the company plans to spread to other locations once the service is out of Beta.
ItsHidden works on all Platforms including Windows, Mac, Linux, IPhone etc. You do not need to download any extra software for ItsHidden. Just create a free user id and password with ItsHidden and setup your network connection ( details available on ItsHidden website). You will have to use your userid and password to connect to the free VPN service.
