[iPhone] Sync Yahoo Calendar With Your Apple iPhone (Over the Air)
If you have an Apple iPhone running iPhone 3.0 OS or newer, now, you can sync your Yahoo Calendar with your iPhone without connecting it with your computer.
In a blogpost, Andrew Molyneux, Program Manager at Yahoo Mail writes
Setting up your calendar to sync with your iPhone couldn’t be easier. There is nothing to download, and in just a few simple steps on your iPhone, all of your events will be synced – over the air – without having to plug into your computer. Now, you really can have a mobile calendar.
What could be better you ask? You can also share your calendar with your friends and family. When you do that, you’ll get to see their events on your phone as well.
Follow the steps below in order to sync your Yahoo Calendar with your Apple iPhone
1.) Make sure you are using the Calendar Beta. If you go to http://calendar.yahoo.com, do you see the words “Yahoo! Calendar Beta” in the top left corner? If you are not using the beta you can switch to it by visiting http://switch.calendar.yahoo.com
2.) Go to your iPhone settings application.
3.) Tap “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”.
4.) Tap “Add Account”.
5.) Tap “Other” and then tap “Add CalDAV Account”.
6.) For the “Server” you can simply type “yahoo”
7.) Now type in the Yahoo! username and password you use to signin to your calendar.
8.) Once you click save, the iPhone will verify your username and password.
Next time you open up your iPhone Calendar you will see a page allowing you to select which Yahoo! Calendar layer you want to view/edit.
