Pidgin 2.6.1 Adds Support For Google Talk Voice and Video Support

Pidgin, the multi-protocol instant messenger client which supports AIM, Google Talk, IRC, MSN, XMPP, Yahoo and many more chat networks has now released version 2.6.0.

The latest version of Pidgin adds following features

  • Voice & Video framework and theme support in libpurple
  • Add support for receiving handwritten (ink) messages and audio clips on MSN
  • XMPP: Voice & Video support with Jingle, voice support with GTalk and voice and video support with the GMail web client.
  • Yahoo!: P2P file transfers.
