Find Who Is Using Your Wireless (Wifi) Network Using ZamZom
If you have a wireless router and you broadcast your SSID, you must have had the fear of someone using your wireless connection without your knowledge ( especially, if the connection is non-secure). If you are a home user, even if you don’t have any confidential information in your computer, the reason for hacking or using your wireless network ( by your neighbors) is often free access to internet.
In my earlier post titled, [How-To] Find out the location of person using your Wireless network we learnt about Moocher Hunter and how it can help you get the location of the person who is illegally using your wireless network. However, if you ever just wanted to know how many computers are connected the wifi network and what is the MAC address of the device connected to your network, ZamZom Wireless Network tool provides this information for free.
Zamzon Wireless Network Tool is a freeware utility which allows you to detect the computers connecting to your wireless network. It also displays the MAC Address and the IP address of the computer.
In order to get started with ZomZom, follow the steps mentioned below
1.) Download and install ZamZom Wireless Network Tool from here.
2.) Once installed, run the program.
3.) From the interface shown, To scan your network click on the fast scan button.
4.) You will see a list of IP and Mac addresses below the button.
5.) If you suspect that not all computers are displayed in the list, try the Deep Scan button.
6.) If you want to se the name/computer name, double click on the IP address or click on Name button. However, to so, you will be required to upgrade from Basic to Premium.
The program is free to use except for a few features which need upgrade. While programs like Zamzom don’t provide a lot of information, they certainly help in confirming if someone is using your wireless network or not.
