Are You Using Yahoo Messenger version 6.0 – 7.5? (Upgrade to latest version now)
Yahoo has announced that it would be retiring old version of Yahoo Messenger ( version 6.0 through 7.5) on September 30th. What this means is that after September 30th 2009, there won’t be any support for older Yahoo Messenger version 6.0 – 7.5.
On the Yahoo Messenger blog, Sarah Bacon ( product manager), mentions following three options
1. Download the latest version of Yahoo Messenger ( version 9) for Windows.
2. Use Yahoo messenger for the Web.
3. Use the built-in IM feature in Yahoo Mail.
Yahoo Messenger version 9.0 , which is the latest stable and generally available release of the IM client includes increased security, spam protection, voice calling, free text messaging and the ability to IM people using Windows Live Messenger.
