Nokia Introduces Ovi Mail Setup App for Symbian S60
Nokia has launched the Ovi Mail Setup app for its S60 phones. The application allows you to sign-up for an Ovi Mail account directly from your S60 device. Or if you already have an Ovi account it will provision Ovi Mail and configure the email client on the device. And it installs a handy icon in the Installations folder for easy access to Ovi Mail.
It must be noted that the app is not an email client. In case if you have been successfully using Ovi Mail on your device, you do not need to install this new app.
Apart from launching the Ovi Mail Setup App for S60, Nokia has also simplified the interface of the webmail service and added support for Thai, Simplified Chinese, Russian and Finnish. You can access webmail at https://mail.ovi.com
Ovi Mail Setup app for S60 can be downloaded for free from here.
I like the fact that Nokia has launched a setup app and also simplified the webmail interface, this is particularly important from both usability and user satisfaction as Nokia Ovi Mail service has more than 1 million users now.
