[Google] What Is A Browser?
In an attempt to explain what a browser really is, Google’s Jason Toff, Associate Product Marketing Manager and son of Alla Toff has brought out an interesting video and also a website which explains what is a browser.
The below embedded video is also available on the website called www.whatbrowser.org. The video shows Windows XP with different browsers and also has a voice which explains what a browser is. I am pleased with the fact that Google explains the browsers differently from an operating system such as Windows and Mac OS X. Many people i know are often confused about what a browser really is and believe that Windows is the browser.
The video is certainly useful and am sure will help clear up the concept for those who are new to the term “browser”.
The embedded video below is what led to the video and the website created by Jason.
In the video embedding below, 50 passersby of different ages and backgrounds in the Times Square in New York are asked “What is Browser”. The video is funny, but certainly depicts the sad state of knowledge and awareness.
Kudos to Jason and Google.
