Control the Music On Your Computer Or Apple TV With Your iPhone or iPod Touch Using Remote

Apple’s Remote Application is an interesting app available through the iTunes store. It allows you to control Music on your Computer or Apple TV using your Apple iPod Touch or Apple iPhone. The best of all, all this happens over Wi-fi. With Apple Remote, users of the app can play, skip, pause, shuffle and search songs and playlists.

So essentially, its like this, wherever you are in your house, you can control the music in the iTunes library on your computer and your Apple TV with a tap or flick of a finger.

Following are the features provided by the Remote Application

1.) Allows you to control music on your iTunes or Apple TV.

2.) See the album artwork on your Remote.

3.) Create and update Genius Playlist.

4.) Edit Playlists in iTunes.

5.) Search your whole iTunes library.

6.) Control your AirTunes speakers.

7.) Control your Apple TV with simple finger gestures.

Setting up Remote is simple and secure. Launch Remote, making sure your iPod touch or iPhone is on the same Wi-Fi network as your computer or Apple TV. Tap Add Library from the Settings menu and a unique passcode appears. Then enter the passcode in iTunes or on Apple TV to pair your iPod touch or iPhone securely.

Remote application also comes with an instant party — iTunes DJ. Say you’re at the house of a friend who has iTunes DJ enabled in iTunes, you can use Remote to browse their iTunes library. When you find a song you want to hear, just add it to their iTunes DJ playlist. In fact, anyone who has Remote on an iPhone or iPod touch can join the party and add requests. You can even vote for songs requested by others.
