If you happen to be looking out for a way to create a US iTunes account without providing your credit card information, this is the article to read. I had been looking for such information since last few days and today, happened to have created a free US based iTunes account. Iwill be using this account primarily for downloading free games and apps.

If you are also interested in creating a “free” US based iTunes account, without providing your credit card information, follow the steps below

1.) If you are signed in to your iTunes account, sign out. If not, proceed to step 2. Also ensure that the region of iTunes is set to US. i.e. you are in the US iTunes app store.

2.) Select the free app ( from the US itunes app store) you wish to download.

3.) Next, you will be taken to a page asking you to sign-in. Click on New Account.

3.) Enter relevant information. For Payment, apart from other valid options like Visa, Amex, Paypal etc, you will also find an option called “None”.

4.) Choose the payment option titled “None” ( also shown in image).

5.) Once you have signed up, you will be able to create a free US based iTunes account. Don’t forget, you will be required to enter a valid address and phone number as well.

Using this account, now you can download any free games and apps.
