Wolfram Alpha Rolls Out $50 iPhone App

Wolfram Alpha ( the search engine, which was earlier termed as a Google killer) has released an Apple iPhone and iPod Touch app. The app allows users to access the “vast resources” of the computational knowledge engine.

The app plugs directly into the Wolfram Alpha’s supercomputing cloud to deliver the knowledge engine to the mobile computing environment.

The iPhone app of Wolfram Alpha can instantly compute answers to thousands of questions, including finance, food, math, medicine, wordplay and weather.

iPhone app of Wolfram Alpha is certainly a “highly-polished” version of the engine targeted at professionals and businessmen capable of justifying the expense ( whopping $50) and i guess i wont be wrong in saying, that the app ( for its price) certainly can be an ultimate replacement for almost any kind of calculator or reference book.
