Whenever you install an add-on in Firefox, it displays a pop-up asking you to confirm the installation. The Install button also takes a few seconds before it gets enabled ( thanks to the countdown timer). In case, if this delay annoys you, this article will show you step by step instructions on getting rid of it.

Follow the steps mentioned below to remove the add-on installation delay in Firefox. This hack involves making changes to your Firefox config file.

1.) Open your Firefox browser. At the address bar, type about:config

2.) In the input box next to Filter, enter security.dialog_enable_delay.

3.) Edit the value of the filter to 0. You can edit the value by double clicking on the entry and modifying the value. Next click on OK.
