Check If Your PC is Ready For Windows 7 With Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor

With the general availability of Windows 7 happening on October 22nd, Microsoft, in its genuine attempt to strengthen the Windows 7 ecosystem, has launched and made available the stable release of Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor software ( it was earlier available in beta) which essentially scans your PC to see if it’s ready for Windows 7. The scan checks and lets you know if your processor is capable of running 64-bit versions of Windows 7.

Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor even gives guidance on the upgrade options. Interestingly, Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor, also tell you about any known compatibility issues with the most commonly installed software programs and devices connected to your PC.

Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor also suggests next steps for resolving an issue ( if it can be resolved).

Alongwith, Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor, Microsoft has also launched Windows 7 Comptability Center. Windows 7 Compatibility Center helps you easily check the compatibility of thousands of devices and software programs for 32-bit or 64-bit versions of Windows 7. The site goes beyond just telling you what will or will not work. It also provides links to drivers and software updates to help get your PC running with the latest software.
