Create UI Mockups For Software and Websites Using MockFlow
As a first step, before you start the actual development of the user interface (UI) of any web application, website or software, it’s important that you develop wireframe mockups. From my experience, i can say, that Wireframe Mockups are very critical in the user interface design process, especially, when you are working with teams.
In terms of UI design, Wireframe is a visualization tool which is used for presenting proposed structure and content of a website or an application. Wireframes help by seperating graphical elements of a website from the functional elements. A wireframe usually contains elements like key page elements and their locations ( header, footer etc), labels for content objects, page title, navigation links, placeholders for text and images etc.
Therefore, in short, a wireframe makes it possible for the design team to come up with proposals before actually starting the design. Wireframes become more crucial, when working with geographically distributed teams.
MockFlow is an interesting tool which takes the process of developing and sharing Wireframes online. Essentially, MockFlow is an online tool for creating wireframes of software and websites. It helps to enhance your planning process by enabling to quickly design and share interactive UI mockups.
MockFlow comes with ready-to-use 70+ Components and 200+ icons, all designed to suit wireframing. MockFlow also allows you to export your Mockup to image or PDF document including comments. MockFlow also features, Real-Time Design Collaboration (RTDC) which includes Team chat ( making it very useful for distributed teams).
If you are interested in trying out MockFlow, you can do so by trying out the basic version, which comes free and offers 1 Mockup with 4 pages. You can have 2 collaborators for the mockup. It allows real-time editing. However, once your mockup is complete, the export leaves a Watermark. A premium version on the other hand offers unlimited mockups, unlimited collaborators, 500 MB storage, team chat, image and PDF export functionality. Premium version of MockFlow is available for $49/year.
