Visualize Data and Share it in many different ways with Widgenie

Widgenie is an interesting web based application which allow you to take your data and transform it into visual information that can be shared with anyone, anywhere.

With Widgenie, essentially, you take a data source. You have the option to specify the data source to be from a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, CSV file, Google Spreadsheet, Web Feed, Sales Force data. Once you have selected the data source. Once you have selected the data source, you have the option to create a widget which will essentially show you the data.

When it comes to visualization, you have the option to choose from various options like Tabular, Pie-Chart, Pivot Table, Heat Map, Animated Bar Chart and many more etc…

In order to get started, signup with the service. (Basic plan is free to use). Once you have signed up for the service, select a data source from the various options. Once you have selected the data source, you will be required to select the widget and the data visualization pattern. You can then configure the visualization and also give it a title. Once your widget is ready, it can be embedded into any website or blog, shared on Facebook, iGoogle etc. Widgenie also provides a direct link for online viewing.

  1. Looks really interesting, we recently integrated another tool for multidimensional visualization – http://www.flexmonster.com, especially we liked the web based pivot charts that really boosts the use of reports in our system
