Apple has released the latest version of iTunes, iTunes 9.0.2. The most important and significant update in the latest release is its tighter integration with Apple TV Software 3.0 which too was released yesterday.

With regards to iTunes 9.0.2, apart from a tighter integration with Apple TV 3.0, a new look to both iTunes software and iTunes store has also been added. The latest release of iTunes also adds the capability to choose choose individual artists, genres, TV shows and Podcasts when syncing, and various other bug fixes.

Upgrading to the latest iTunes software won’t have any impact on your Jailbroken iPhone or iPod Touch. Therefore, go ahead and download the latest version of iTunes.

You can upgrade to the latest version of iTunes by navigating to Help –> Check for Updates menu item within iTunes. If you wish to download the latest version of iTunes, you can do so from here. Predictably, iTunes 9.0.2 blocks the Palm Pre’s ability to sync media files with the popular application
