[How-To] Clear Items from Office Clipboard and Free up Memory
If you have run into a situation where your office clipboard is holding large objects and thereby eating up the free memory on your system leading to issues like ; not able to take screenshots of webpage or document using Prtsc keypress. The usual action taken by most of the users is restarting the system. While restarting the system, does get you out of the woods, but there is an easier way out.
This article will describe step by step instructions for clearing items from your office clipboard.
1.) If the Microsoft Office Clipboard is not displayed in the task pane (task pane: A window within an Office application that provides commonly used commands. Its location and small size allow you to use these commands while still working on your files.), click Office Clipboard on the Edit menu.
2.) On the Clipboard task pane, do one of the following:
To clear one item, click the arrow next to the item you want to delete, and then click Delete.
To clear all items, click Clear All.
Following the above steps you can remove items from the clipboard, thereby freeing up the memory used.
