[Firefox] Facebook Dislike Add-On Allows You To “Dislike” updates on Facebook

Facebook has a “Like” button which allows you to tell others that you like the update. While, the “Like” feature is pretty cool, what is certainly missing is the “Dislike” feature ( atleast officially) for posts or updates which you don’t like.

Facebook Dislike is a Firefox Extension which is an experimental add-on. In order to make the tool work, Moquet ( the developer of the add-on) had to use his own servers, which keep track of every item that’s disliked as well as who clicked it. Any other Facebook users who have the extension installed can then see who disliked it right next to the usual like list.

Some of the limitations when using the add-on

1.) If the server on which the author maintaines the dislike history goes down, you won’t be able to see what you or others have “disliked”.

2.) What you dislike won’t be available to others who do not have this add-on installed.

In my opinion, this is certainly a good feature ( take it with a pinch of salt ;) ). Would be really handy if FB added this sometime soon.
