Spotify, the app for iPhone and Android, which till date allowed you to search and stream music over the air, create and sync playlists, and even save music for offline playback is now also available on Symbian platform.

In order to get started, you need to first have a Spotify premium account. You can download the Spotify app directly on your device (go to m.spotify.com) or enter your number on the Spotify website and it’ll send you a download link. Spotify Mobile is currently available only in the following countries: UK, France, Spain, Sweden, Finland and Norway.

If you own a Symbian powered device and would like to know if your phone is supported, you can checkout the list of supported phones here. (Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia E71, Samsung i8910 Omnia HD and Sony Ericsson Satio are included).

Offline music playing is limited to 3,333 tracks at any one time and you can only keep playlists on your device for 30 days before you need to resync with the service.

As an advice, i would suggest that you make sure you’re signed up to a fixed price data plan for accessing the internet from your phone, else listening to songs over the data plan might prove very costly for you.
