[How-To] Upload Photos and Videos to your Facebook Profile by Email

If you use Facebook ( like me) and have a mobile phone with a camera unit, you can directly upload photos and videos to your facebook account through email. This article describes how you can setup your Facebook account to accept photo and video uploads via email.

Facebook provides you with a personalized upload email to send photos and videos straight to your profile. As a security best practice, do not share this email address with anyone else. All photos and videos sent to this email id will be published to your Facebook profile.

Follow the steps below to get started

1.) Navigate your browser ( desktop or mobile browser) to the Facebook mobile page at www.facebook.com/mobile

2.) Login to your Facebook account. Once logged in, search for the section on the page which says “Upload Photos via Email”.

3.) Once you are logged in, you will be able to see a personalized email address ( which usually consists of random numbers and alphabets). The email address displayed is the personal address you need to save in your contact list. Any photo or video sent to this email address will be published in your profile. You can even click on the link which says “Send my upload email to me now” to get the email address emailed to you.

The email subject will be used as the caption of your photo or video.

Photos and videos uploaded via email are visible to everyone by default. You can change this for any album from the site itself.
