Usually whenever someone asks me for a recommendation about Registry Cleaning Softwares, i either turn them to CCleaner (Read: Optimize your Computer’s Performance with CCleaner)or ask them to live with it as personally i haven’t seen a big impact of registry cleaning on performance. Now, i have another tool in my list of recommended registry cleaners, its called Wise Registry Cleaner Free.

Windows registry cleaners work by removing duplicate or those entries from Windows registry which point to files which are no longer in use. Often when a user installs a new software, the installation process also makes some changes to the Windows registry. Unfortunately, when the software is uninstalled, these entries are not properly deleted. This makes the registry bloated and leads to slower performance. Windows Registry Cleaners like CCleaner and Wise Registry Cleaner Free work by deleting such entries.

Wise Registry Cleaner Free fared pretty well in terms of registry scans and seperation of not-so-safe entries to delete. This freebie does a neat job of cleaning out the Registry junk. It scans the Registry, flagging orphaned or bad Registry entries, and shows you the name and values for each. It identifies Registry entries that may be dangerous to delete, and those that are safe to delete, so you can distinguish between the two. It also lets you decide which entries to delete, and which to keep. For safety’s sake, it can also back up your Registry before a scan, so that you can restore it, if the program causes any problems.
