Youtube too gets its own URL Shortener ( Youtu.be)

Youtube has launched link shortening service called youtu.be which works for Youtube video links and nothing but Youtube links.

The process of creating a youtu.be url is simple, take any youtube video URL and copy the id ( this is the number mentioned in the query string v. Next, append the value of the query string v and append it after the youtu.be/<id-here>

If you do not like the manual process, you can also use AutoShare to link up your YouTube account to social networks like Twitter and Google Reader. Then, whenever you favorite a video on YouTube, for example, that action will get syndicated out to your network, who will see this shortened edition of the video’s URL.
