Manage SQLite Database on your PC with SQLite Manager

Firefox uses SQLite Database in order to store the information of your browsing history, cookies, and form passwords etc. In an earlier post, i wrote how SpeedyFox can help you speed up your Firefox instance, basically, all SpeedyFox does is compacting and optimizing the SQLite database which Firefox uses.

SQLite Manager is a Firefox Add-on which can help you manage any SQLite database on your computer. Using SQLite Manager, you get an intuitive heirarchical tree showing database objects. It also contains helpful dialogs to manage tables, indexes, views and triggers. You can browse and search the tables, as well as add, edit, delete and duplicate the records.

Interesting to note is the fact that SQLite Manager also provides the capability to execute any sql query and also search the views. SQLite Manager provides a dropdown menu which helps with the sql syntax thus making writing sql easier. It also provides easy access to common operations through menu, toolbars, buttons and context-menu.

Using SQLite Manager you can also export tables/views/database in csv/xml/sql format. Also, you can Import the database from csv/xml/sql (both UTF-8 and UTF-16).

You can download and install SQLite Manager from here.
