Amazon shipped Kindle within one day for orders placed on December 23rd, like you, even i placed an order and got my Kindle. Now, i have also bought some books for my Kindle (in case if you didn’t know, this Christmas, more Kindle books were sold than Physical books).Once you have got your Kindle, the next step is to download books on your Amazon Kindle.

This article will describe step by step instructions for downloading books on your Amazon Kindle. Kindle basically syncs with your Amazon account, therefore managing your magazine, blog and book purchases / subscriptions is very easy.

1.) Ensure that your Kindle is registered. If you used your Amazon account to buy your Kindle, then you can skip this step and move on to step 3, else, if you got your Kindle as a gift, you need to register your Kindle.

2.) On your Kindle, press the Home button. Next press the menu button. Navigate to Settings and select Register. Enter the details as per your Amazon account to login.

3.) If you have already bought books using your Amazon account, sign-in and scroll to the Digital Content section. This section allows you to manage your Kindle content and down-loadable items.

4.) Click on Manage your Kindle and you should be able to look at the Kindle’s registered with your account. You can ( if need be) also Deregister your Kindle using this menu item.

5.) Next, scrolling down, you should be able to see a section called “Your Orders”, here you can tell Amazon to deliver the purchased books to your registered Kindle device.

6.) Once you are done with the above mentioned step, on your Kindle, press the Home Button. After that, press the Menu Button. Ensure that your Kindle is connected to the 3G network ( you should see “3G” on the top right corner). If you do not see “3G” on the top, ensure that your Kindle’s wireless services are turned on.

7.) Navigate down and look for “Sync & Check for items”.Select the menu item using the 5-way controller and your books will arrive on your Kindle shortly.
