Push Notification and Contact Syncing come to Facebook for iPhone
Facebook app for the iPhone has got updated to a newer version 3.1, which supports Push Notifications and has also added Contact Syncing feature.
With the feature to support Push Notification, the Facebook for iPhone app can now notify you with a pop-up message or a sound whenever your friend do stuff like commenting on your Wall or tagging photos of you. This is a neat feature as it allows you to interact with your friends whenever there is a passive action and can respond when their is a need, rather than checking stuff every now and then.
Facebook for iPhone 3.1 also comes with a new way to sync your Facebook contact details with your iPhone address book. It also allows you to even replace Contact photos.

Facebook app for iPhone also works on the iPod Touch, however, you must note that the push notifications do not actually add much value on the iPod Touch, simply because iPod Touch disconnects the Wi-fi when it goes to sleep.
