[GDrive] Upload any type of File onto Google Docs (Size Limit:250MB)
Google will soon allow uploading any type of file onto your Google Docs account. So what this means is, that, you can now, instead of emailing files to yourself, or carrying them in your pen drive, upload any type of file upto size 250MB onto your Google Docs and account.
As the Google Docs Blog says
Instead of emailing files to yourself, which is particularly difficult with large files, you can upload to Google Docs any file up to 250 MB. You’ll have 1 GB of free storage for files you don’t convert into one of the Google Docs formats (i.e. Google documents, spreadsheets, and presentations), and if you need more space, you can buy additional storage for $0.25 per GB per year. This makes it easy to backup more of your key files online, from large graphics and raw photos to unedited home videos taken on your smartphone. You might even be able to replace the USB drive you reserved for those files that are too big to send over email.
While Google is not naming it as GDrive, but this is exactly what GDrive has been rumored to be all about ( all these days).

While Google’s free storage is limited to 1GB, Skydrive from Microsoft offers space upto 25GB for free.
This feature will be rolled out over the weeks and therefore do not panic if you are not able to upload the files right away.
TechCrunch has also reported that Google is working with three partners which will add value to the storage product.
1.) Memeo Connect from Memeo will allow users to sync files between their desktop and Google Docs.
2.) Syncplicity will offer an automated backup and file management application for businesses.
3.) Manymoon, the online project management application will be integrated with Google Docs storage.
