Apple iPad pricing starts at $499

Apple has revealed the pricing for its latest tablet PC, the Apple iPad will be priced at $499 and not at $999.

Announcing the price, Steve Jobs said am thrilled to announce to you that the iPad pricing starts, not at $999, but at $499.

While the prices of the models will vary depending on the capabilities ( primarily if the model has more memory and if its has 3G or not).

I believe, the $499 Apple iPad will be the one which features a 16 GB and no 3 G.

As for service, the device comes wi-fi ready, but there are also two 3G plans being offered through AT&T: one includes up to 250MB of data per month for $14.99, and the other is an unlimited plan for $29.99. Both include free usage of AT&T wifi hotspots. There’s no contract to sign — you can cancel any time you want.
