Google Apps will no more support IE6 (Supported Browsers List Inside)
Google has announced that it will stop supporting IE6 for Google Docs and Google Sites starting March 1st. While Google will eventually phase out entire support for IE6, its beginning with Google Docs and Google Sites.
IE6 is one of the old browser from Microsoft and has recently been under heavy attack for Security flaws.
Google has asked users to upgrade to the latest browsers which are more efficient and capable of rendering the latest web technologies. As per Google, the following browsers will continue to be supported
Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0+
Mozilla Firefox 3.0+
Google Chrome 4.0+
Safari 3.0+
Many other companies have already stopped supporting older browsers like Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 as well as browsers that are not supported by their own manufacturers. We’re also going to begin phasing out our support, starting with Google Docs and Google Sites on March 1st. So while you’ll still be able to access these Google applications, newer features may not be available and some features may even stop working. You can learn more about web browsers and check what version you’re currently using at www.WhatBrowser.org, a site created by Google.
