Upgrade your iPhone and iPod Touch to latest iPhone OS 3.1.3
A day after releasing iTunes 9.0.3, Apple has released a firmware update for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The latest iPhone OS is versions iPhone OS 3.1.3. The latest firmware update is primarily a bug fix update.
If you have a jailbroken iPhone / iPod Touch, do not upgrade to the latest OS yet.
Below is the change summary for iPhone OS 3.1.3
- Improves accuracy of reported battery level on iPhone 3GS.
- Resolves issue where third-party apps would not launch in some instances.
- Fixes bug that may cause an app to crash when using the Japanese Kana keyboard.

Frankly speaking, none of these updates will make you feel out of the world. However, as this is a bug fix update, its important to keep your firmware up-to-date.
In order to update your iPhone or iPod touch, connect the device to your computer. Launch iTunes, and press the Check for Updates button.
