Skype for iPhone will soon support Voice over 3G
Skype has announced that it will soon support voice over 3G on the iPhone. Skype for iPhone currently supports voice calls through Wi-fi, however, that means you can only move around the Wifi zone and this definitely restricts the capability.
This announcement was made by Peter Parkes from Skype in a blog post. Interestingly, Skype is also working on an iPad version of Skype (Skype for iPad).
The new version of the Apple iPhone OS 3.2, which is used in the Apple iPad, removes the restrictions on calling over 3G.
Skype has also confirmed that it is working on ensuring that the 3G voice quality will be supreme and will allow users to make calls in wideband audio.
