Spyware Terminator protects you from Spywares for Free [Anti-Spyware]

In an earlier article on Technofriends, i wrote about Anti-Spyware software rankings. In this article, i will introduce you to another free to download and use software called Spyware Terminator which protects you from Spywares.

Spyware is computer software that is installed on a user’s computer without the user’s consent with the purpose of collecting information about the user, their computer or browsing habits. As it is installed without your consent, it can secretly monitor data on your computer and even transmit the same to a remote server without your knowledge. For example, consider a software which got installed automatically on your computer and start logging all the websites you open on your computer. This kind of software then automatically (without your knowledge), transmits this information to a location on the server which is maintained by the developer of the software. Now this guy, who runs the server has information of all your browsing habits. Which bank websites you open, which mail servers you access, which websites you visit and more. This kind of a software is called “spyware”. As the name suggests, it spies on you and send out the information to its master.

Spyware Terminator is free-to-use software which can be used to clean and protect your computer from Spywares. Lets walk through the features offered by Spyware Terminator

i. Spyware Terminator scans and removes spywares from your computer.

ii. Users can configure Spyware Terminator to automatically update its threat database.

iii. You can also schedule scans, such that Spyware Terminator will automatically scan the system on those days. It will then report its findings after the scan is complete.

v. Spyware Terminator also provides real-time protection. What this means is, that if you are browsing the web, an a spyware tries to install itself on your computer, Spyware Terminator will detect it and ensure that its not installed.

vi. It also provides you HIPS protection. HIPS stands for Host Intrusion Prevention System.
